The benefit concert was a great success
Thanks to the many who gave their time and their best
To organise this wonderful occasion
In such a short time – absolutely amazing!
And thanks to the comperes Heather and Luke
And Dale of course – he sure can spruik!
They kept the show going without missing a beat
And managed to make us ignore all the heat
Let’s not forget all our local performers
Their talents outstanding – simply enormous
Very appreciative was the whole darn crowd
Shown with applause and their shouts out loud!
All in all just a wonderful night
The town has pulled through it all despite
The hardships endured by many friends and neighbours
Such is the spirit in this town we call Dayboro!
