Celebrating Seniors Week 2009 and honouring the seniors of our local community.
As part of Queensland’s Seniors Week 2009, the youth of Brisbane Christian Fellowship will host a free outdoor cafė-style event for seniors and their families in Samford Village’s John Scott Park.
Devonshire Tea in the Park is a free event for seniors and the whole family. Come along and join us – be it for the hot scones, tea and espresso coffee, live music, the activities for all ages, the opportunity to celebrate and be together – or all of these things.

The 2009 Senior’s Expo will be held on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 August 2009 during Seniors Week, 9am to 2pm. The venue will be the Strathpine Community Centre at Mecklem Street, Strathpine. This event is an initiative of the Dickson Seniors Council. See Puter Dutton’s column on pages 21 & 22 for more information.
