PINE RIVERS DISTRICT CHRISTMAS PARADE & CONCERT
Saturday, December 13, Santa will feature on the final festive float in the 13th annual Pine Rivers District Christmas Parade and Concert at Strathpine.
This exciting traditional event will kick off at 5.30pm with a lively and very colourful street parade featuring everything from three wise men on camels to giant butterflies on stilts and marching bands who will wind their way from Learmonth St, Strathpine down Gympie Rd, to Pine Rivers Park’s new amphitheatre.
This year’s line up at the Christmas Concert starting at 6.20pm will include: The Chipmunks, Tigerlily Duo, the Conroy Dance Troupe and headliners, the Harvest Rain Theatre performers.
Families are encouraged to bring fold up chairs or a blanket and a picnic dinner while they enjoy the free concert and fireworks at about 9pm to top off a wonderful family night.
Council is keen to hear from community groups, schools, businesses and service clubs who wish to register their float in the parade.
