TRAILRIDERS for September
BIG OCTOBER RIDE
Saturday 25th October
Even if you don’t have a horse you can be involved, by attending the Concert on the Saturday evening. (Tickets do need to be pre-purchased for this.) So, mark the date in your diary and watch for details in the next edition of the Grapevine – or check for updates on the Trailriders’ website:
www.dayborotrailriders.com.au
Our last ride attracted 26 riders including 3 visitors on a very cold day with plenty of water running in all of the creeks and river, as one of our riders found out, unfortunately. It was one of our shorter rides and the BBQ lunch warmed up everyone afterwards to end another great day horse riding.
A few of our members trialed a moonlight ride to the Glass House Mountains with the possibility of a club ride in the near future. It proved to be a great ride with spectacular views across the forestry and coastal islands.
Our Club provided one third of the riders who participated in the scenic Kin Kin Ride on the weekend of 9th and 10th August. It was the third time we attended as a club to enjoy a really great ride with views across Lake Cootharaba, Noosa Northshore, Teewah Sand Blow and the mountains of Pomona. We can recommend the Kin Kin pub, which has been refurbished, for great meals and rooms and informative historical photos on the walls.
The Noosa Trail Network is recognized Australia wide as being the ideal recreational trail for horse riding, walking and mountain bike riding, with the assistance of property owners, Council and Community groups working together.
Now that the E.I. has passed our Big October Ride is on again this year on Saturday, 25th October with a three hour ride and a seven hour ride. More on this next month.
