August – September Presidents Report
It was a huge disappointment that the August ride was cancelled due to the rain and slippery conditions. But wait – a good bonus for the land owners. We will look at doing this ride at another time, even if we do some of the ride.
Bunnings’ sausage sizzle went off really well. It rained and the wind blew all day. A big thanks for the support from Lisa, John, Peter, Eric, Mary Anne, Elaine, Courtney, Lorraine and myself we made a good profit of about $800 and sold 34kgs of sausages. We have applied to do another one and it would be good to get a Saturday.
The September ride will be an easy one and back by midday for a good lunch.
Preparations for our Big October Ride – Oct 4
Last Sunday 31st August, Peter Rudd, Dan Burton and myself rode the short ride and, with some changes, it will be back on time. Friday 5th September, Peter, John, Dan and myself did the long ride and it is spot on for distance and time. A big thanks to these members for giving up their time to help out.
Saturday 6th September, Dan Burton, Peter Norris and myself finished painting the toilets and shower blocks. They are now sparkling clean in readiness for the BOR (Big October Ride).
