QCWA 28x29mm 150dpi clrOur Branch is gradually growing in numbers and we are always happy to welcome anyone along to our Meetings, Craft, Cuppa and Chat mornings and other events.  We are a very welcoming and supportive group so no matter what your stage of life from young, to having little ones on your hip, to working, to retirement, we would love for you to consider coming along to find out more about your local Country Women’s Association.

Join us on the 15th September as we host our Annual Combined International Lunch with Pine Rivers and Samford Branches.  This year we are embracing The Midlands, an area of England steeped in a rich history (think Shakespeare and Robin Hood).  Anyone is welcome to join us for our feast and may dress in historical theme.  Further details printed below.

We’ve been a bit crafty lately with a visit from a couple of members of Dayboro’s Happy Hookers to teach us how to crochet.  A few of us are now well on our way to making beautiful blankets with talk of tackling beanies and bedsocks in time to come.

Now that we have ticked ‘learn how to crochet’ off our list we are discussing what sort of classes members would like to participate in next. A ‘Learn How To Use Technology’ day was suggested. New member Cherie has kindly offered to help us learn how to use items such as smart phones, tablets and laptops.  Bring them along on Tuesday 20th October and find out how to get the most from them.

Remember to “Like” our new Facebook page and share it with your friends:  You don’t need to be a member.  We will list recipes and great craft ideas as well as letting you know when we are running classes, holding meetings or hosting special events.  It is a positive page for women, girls and our community!
