The 2008 Samford Show to be held on July 19 and 20, promises something for all the family to enjoy. With live bands, non-stop family entertainment throughout the day, a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday evening, a discovery farm for children and exciting horse and dog competitions, every day at the show is filled with excitement.

The Ferny Grove High School proved to be a crowd favourite last year with their live animal display and is set to return for the 2008 Samford Show. An interactive and educational display of baby animals gives the feel of “life on the farm”. With the newly christened poultry pavilion, horse and dog competitions and a spectacular display of dog obedience, the Samford Show will again be host to over 100 animals.

Boasting a rich heritage, and providing the ultimate benchmark for excellence in horticulture, the Samford Show will this year continue to hold a blue ribbon event for the “best horticultural display with a prize to the value of $50 for the winner of the event.

The 2008 Samford Show will also feature a huge entertainment line up, with the Main Arena offering plenty of action at the daily shows along with loads of carnival rides and show bags to be enjoyed.



The 2008 Samford Show, July 19 and 20th, promises non-stop fun over 2 days with a feast of entertainment and arts and crafts competitions set to impress everyone with many new and exciting things to see, do and experience.
For the first time in show history, Samford Show has partnered with radio station 99.7FM with a live broadcast from the Show.
Frank Lippett, President of the Samford Show Society said “we welcome the live broadcast arrangement with 99.7FM, we believe that this partnership has assisted us to take the show to new heights for 2008”.
99.7FM personalities will be attending the show for the 2 days and providing a live broadcast to their listeners across the Moreton Bay and Brisbane Northern Suburbs.

Radio station 99.7FM will be a guest judge during the major events, announcing competitions such as the Home Brew Competition, the Pet Parade, the Great Samford Dog Jump and the highly regarded Man versus Horse Race.
The Samford Show will offer visitors a snapshot of country life, first class entertainment and the best the Samford region has to offer.
