Feb2011 LOST AND FOUND in the FLOOD

Following suggestions we received in the aftermath of the flooding we have a designated LOST and FOUND section in this edition and will also have this in our March edition should we receive further submissions.
The March edition seems a long time to wait thought doesn’t it?  That is why we will be putting any Lost and Found  announcements onto our website, as soon as they are received.
Therefore it will be simply a matter of going to www.dayborograpevine.com.au
Click on “News” at the top left of the page;  then
Click on :”Dayboro Flooding 2011”  (This will take you to the items specifically about our recent flooding.)
    Then select “Lost and Found.”
(Please note that articles will be found here that do not appear in our printed edition – It was important to get this information available to you as soon as possible and with as much detail as possible i.e. not limited to space constraints as occurs in the printed edition.)
HERE ARE OUR LOST and FOUND  . . . Well actually, so far, we have only LOST to report . . . And they are all animals.  Please also use this section if you have lost or found a treasured item relating to the flooding:
TWO GOATS MISSING:
Zoe Patterson from Mimish Hair in Bradley Street watched helplessly in the flood as her kids’ pet goats washed away.  Could you put them on the list of lost pets please.  They had three goats, but one was recovered from Morris Street, very weak but alive and has survived.  This means we are looking for two goats.  If you have information about these goats, please contact Zoe on 0408 181 528.
TWO ALPACAS MISSING:
Our 2 alpaca’s went missing on 11/1/2011 when the big flood went through Kobble Creek.  We are missing the white male and the black female – she has an ear tag (with Kelly on the tag).  Please phone Josh Hansen on 3289 9819.
RED ANGUS CALF MISSING:
From Lees Crossing Road, Armstrong Creek (on North Pine River) we lost many of our cows in the flood.  Most have turned up – some up to 5 kms downstream – but we are still missing a 6 week old Red Angus calf along the river somewhere near Dayboro.  It is a reddish brown colour but has no other markings.  If you have information, contact  Terry & Elaine Cooper on 3425 2886 or 0412956279.

LOST DOG "Sophie" (Missing since mid-December’s storms):
Melanie’s plea:  “I NEED MY ‘BEAUIE’ BACK!  Just a beautiful dog – you know what I mean.  He is a kind and gentle dog and I miss him very much.  He went missing on December 17th 2010 from Roderick Street during a storm and I have not seen him since.  If you have him or know where he might be, please call me on 0431 701 646.  He is a large, furry tan dog with a white stripe down his chest and a long nose

Did you have a pet or possession carried away by the floodwaters on January 11th 2011?
Did you recover an animal or other item in the aftermath?
Let us know and we will put the information into our March edition (as well as on our website) to attempt to reunite them with their owners.
(Click on "Contact Us" then the "editorial" email link.)
REMEMBER:  We will be putting any Lost and Found  announcements onto our website, as soon as they are received.  Therefore it will be simply a matter of going to www.dayborograpevine.com.au to check for the latest information.
