Trevor Ryan, Artist of the Month, with some of his artwork.

Artist of the Month For December at Dayboro Community Art Gallery is Trevor Ryan.  Trevor lives at Closeburn, backing onto Cedar Creek, one of the most beautiful little places in our region.  He grew up in what he describes as an artistic family, and has held a lifetime interest in art and in creating art.  He has won many awards for his works, mainly oils of a traditional style and ink sketches. Trevor says he likes the accidental, and sometimes ridiculous.  He attended the Eight Mile Plains School and started work at 13 in a department store in Mt Gravatt.  At this time he completed a commercial art course, then went on to travel widely, hitchhiking, motor biking, working on a cargo ship and the Swedish American Line.  After marrying he worked mainly in real estate and for Ansett Airlines.  His other interests have always been antique cars and motorbikes.  Trevor’s works are featured at the Gallery throughout December, where you will also find a great number of works at reduced prices, from many artists, during the Christmas Art Sale. Come on down to the Gallery, see work made locally, by local artists, often with local themes and images, and indeed materials.

The Gallery is open 7days a week from 10am to 3pm, and you are always welcome to browse for gifts, get tips or ideas on creating for yourself, or just come and look.  Look forward to seeing you there.

If you are looking for that different gift call in to the Dayboro Art Gallery.  Open 7 days 10.00am – 3 pm.
